Historical Heritage

The name TALER pays homage to the Thaler (or Taler), a silver coin that was widely used throughout Europe from the 15th to the 19th century. The Thaler was one of the most important and widely circulated currencies of its time, serving as a standard for international trade across European kingdoms and beyond. Just as the historical Thaler represented trust, stability, and widespread acceptance in its era, TALER cryptocurrency aims to embody these same principles in the digital age.

TALER is built upon the proven foundation of Bitcoin Core, inheriting its robust UTXO model, transaction validation framework, and security architecture.
